Privacy policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Pink Desert ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, use our services, or make a purchase from thepinkdesert.com or our retail store, or otherwise communicate with us. If you have any questions, email us at hello@thepinkdesert.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, payment information (processed by Shopify and its payment partners; we do not store your full card number), order details, account information, and anything you send us when you contact us or start a return.

Information collected automatically: when you visit our site we collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site or ad that brought you to us. We collect this using cookies and similar technologies described below.

Information from others: our service providers (such as Shopify) and our marketing partners may share information with us about your interactions with our site and our ads.

How we use your information

To provide our products and services: processing payments, fulfilling and shipping orders, handling returns and exchanges, managing your account, and sending order and shipping updates.

Marketing and advertising: sending you marketing emails and texts you have signed up for, showing you our ads on other sites and apps, and measuring how well our advertising works.

Security and legal: detecting and preventing fraud, protecting our customers and our business, and complying with the law.

Cookies and advertising

Like most online stores, we use cookies and similar technologies from Shopify and our analytics and advertising partners to keep your cart working, understand how our site is used, and show you relevant ads. We work with advertising and social media platforms, such as Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and other platforms we may use from time to time, to advertise our products. This involves sharing information such as your email address, phone number, and details about your visits and purchases so they can show our ads to you and to people with similar interests, and so we can measure whether our ads led to a purchase. These platforms use that information under their own privacy policies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of this kind of advertising use through the Your Privacy Choices page linked in our footer or by emailing us.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it with:

• Service providers that help us run our business, such as Shopify (our store platform and payment processing), shipping carriers, our email and text messaging provider, our cloud data storage provider, and the marketing agency that manages our advertising. Each is permitted to use your information only to provide services to us.
• Advertising and social media platforms, as described above. Under some state privacy laws this is considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising," and you can opt out as described in Your Privacy Choices.
• Others when required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights and safety of our customers and our business, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.

Text messages

If you sign up for texts, we will send you marketing and order-related messages at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop, or HELP for help.

Your privacy choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails or texts at any time using the link or reply instruction in the message. You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sharing it for targeted advertising, by using the Your Privacy Choices page in our footer or emailing hello@thepinkdesert.com. We will respond within 45 days. We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out for that browser. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as we need it to serve you, run our business, and meet our legal and tax obligations, and then delete or anonymize it.

Children

Our site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new date.
