Beautiful dress but runs huge

This dress is absolutely beautiful and the smocking is so nice. I followed the size chart and got a large and that was a mistake for this dress. I’m usually a medium and I do wish I had got a medium in this one. It’s a relaxed enough style that I’m still planning to wear it, but a size smaller would have been much better.
